Vietnam's Ministry of Health confirmed 35 new cases of influenza A/H1N1, making the total number of the flu patients in the country to 971, local newspaper the People's Army reported Tuesday.
Among the 35 cases, 26 patients were detected in the south, four in the north, and five in the central highland provinces, said the ministry.
So far, 470 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The rest are being quarantined and treated, said the newspaper.
Vietnam has reported no case death of the A/H1N1 flu since its outbreak in the country.
