A third case of influenza A/H1N1 was found in Qatar after the country reported its first two cases in two boys, the official Qatar News Agency reported Wednesday.
Qatar's Health Minister Abdullah al-Qahtani said the new case was a 17-year-old Iraqi teenager who came to Qatar on a flight from Washington on Saturday.
She was given treatment and is in recovery, Qahtani was quoted by the state media as saying.
On Tuesday, the health ministry announced the Gulf Arab country 's first two cases of the novel flu, which were two boys who arrived from the United States and Austria.
The two children were diagnosed with the flu virus and were in good conditions after given medication.
The influenza has been found in the Middle East including Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan.
