Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with visiting Kuomintang (KMT) Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung on Tuesday afternoon.

Wu arrived in Beijing Monday for an eight-day visit to the mainland.
