Two senior officials of the Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China were replaced on Friday.
Qin Yizhi was removed from his post as vice chairman of Tibet and Wang Binyi was removed from his position as head of the region's public security administration.
Li Zhao has been approved to take Qin's and Wang's positions, according to the congress's decision.
The decision was made by the regional people's congress on Friday.
