China Appoints New Ambassadors

President Hu Jintao appointed and dismissed ambassadors to eight countries, in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the top legislature.

Zheng Qingdian is appointed as ambassador to Bangladesh to replace Chai Xi.

Li Huaxin replaces Zhou Xiuhua as new ambassador to Syria.

Chai Xi replaces Liu Zhengxiu as new ambassador to Malta.

Zhang Junsai replaces Fu Ying as new ambassador to Australia.

Li Qiangmin replaces Li Baodong as new ambassador to Zambia.

Zheng Xianglin replaces Sun Heping as new ambassador to Nepal.

Zhi Zhaolin replaces Wang Fuyuan as new ambassador to Slovenia.

Gao Jian replaces Chen Naiqing as new ambassador to Norway.
