Ding Kecang, a member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), is a Living Buddha of the Labrang Monastery, one of the six great monasteries of the Geluk (Yellow Hat) school of Tibetan Buddhism.

He is also the vice director of the Buddhist Association of Gansu Province.
