The G20 summit scheduled next month in London would be able to achieve "positive" results with the joint efforts of all parties, said Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi in Beijing on Saturday.

Leaders form 19 developed and developing countries and the European Union are expected to meet in London on April 2 to discuss stability, growth, jobs and other issues in face of the financial crisis.

China has already made active contribution to the fight against the deepening financial crisis, Yang said at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of China's National People's Congress, or the parliament.

He cited the country's efforts to maintain growth, continued aid to developing countries, and a procurement deal worth 15 billion US dollars in Europe.

Responding to a question whether the crisis has changed the balance of power in China's favor, Yang said the crisis had made "rationality" and "legitimate demands of people from all countries" gain better attention.

He called on governments of all countries to always put people's interest first and take a "down-to-earth" approach in pursuing economic development and social progress.

Chinese President Hu Jintao will meet his US counterpart Barack Obama during the London G20 meeting, according to Yang.
