ROK Donates Medical Appliances to China

Medical organizations of the Republic of Korean (ROK) Tuesday donated US$400,000 worth of medical appliances to aid China's fight against the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) disease.

Kyung-tae Moon, deputy minister of Health and Welfare of the ROK, delivered the list of donations to Gao Qiang, China's executive vice minister of health, at the ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations), China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (10+3) High-Level Symposium on SARS.

Before this, the ROK government donated a total of US$300,000 worth of medical appliances to China on two occasions.
