An Israeli official said Wednesday that Prime Minister Ehud
Olmert plans to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on
Sunday.
Olmert's spokeswoman Miri Eisin said that the venue of their
meeting will be set later in the day.
On Tuesday, official Palestinian sources announced that Abbas
and Olmert would meet in Jerusalem next week "in accordance to what
both had agreed upon, which is, to hold regular meetings between
the two men fortnightly."
"The meeting is to tackle issues related to expanding a
cease-fire to include the West Bank and end military operations and
campaigns of arrests there, in addition to reactivating the Middle
East peace process," said the sources.
The sources added that the prisoners swap deal would also be
tackled in the meeting.
