Adopted at the 25th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress on November 19, 1982; amended in accordance with the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Regarding the Revision of Articles 30 and 31 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Protection of Cultural Relics at the 20th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress on June 29, 1991; revised at the 30th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress on October 28, 2002 and promulgated by Order No.76 of the President of the People's Republic of China on October 28, 2002.
