Xu Jinglei is one among the ten people that were given this honor. The media hails the ten ambassadors as doing the best in raising awareness for environmental protection.

While asked why Xu Jinglei was given this title, the spokesman of the event revealed that though Xu Jinglei is not a professional environmentalist, she maintains environment-friendly living habits in her daily life and has been involved in various charity activities for environmental protection. At the same time, Xu Jinglei's personal image also has great credibility, so she can take on the responsibility entrusted by this honor.

Xu Jinglei also made her own commitment at the event, said she will put empty slogans into practice to set a good example in leading an environmentally friendly life, and to increase people's awareness for environmental protection.
