Most of China will get rain in the next three days, with torrential rain and thunderstorms in the provinces of Shaanxi, Sichuan, Guizhou and Hubei, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said Tuesday.
CMA meteorologists said northeast China, the eastern part of Inner Mongolia and east Shandong Province would get strong wind.
Temperatures in northeastern provinces would fall 4 to 8 degrees Celsius.
The hot weather has come early, with some eastern parts of the country such as Zhejiang and Jiangsu moving into summer more than 20 days early. Rain might lower temperatures in some places, the CMA said, but parts of Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong provinces would see highs of 35 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
