A man from Guizhou Province was arrested recently in neighboring Yunnan Province after taking a bear's paw to give his parents as a rare and nutritious delicacy.
The man, surnamed Huo, had a taste for wild animals and one day bought a bear's paw in Jinghong, Yunnan province, as a gift for his mom and dad.
When he took a train at the province's Qujing railway station to his hometown in Anshun, Guizhou Province, police pounced.
Besides the bear's paw, they also found anteater's scales, a cobra and a leopard leg.
Huo will be prosecuted for smuggling precious and endangered wildlife products.
