City fund set to cut building energy use

The Shanghai municipal government is planning a 30-million-yuan (US$4.39 million) fund this year to promote energy-saving practices at public buildings, Shanghai Daily reported.

The city will guide and support reconstruction of existing buildings with the help of this fund.
