Adjust font size:

China would soon decide whether to rebuild the epicenter Wenchuan County seat at original site, said Vice Governor of Sichuan Province in Beijing on Tuesday.

Provincial planning expert group and the state earthquake specialists were contemplating on the issue, and the result would come out in the near future, said Wang Ning at a press conference held in Beijing on reconstruction planning after the magnitude 8.0 earthquake that hit southwest China in May.

"The decision on the reconstruction site is an important issue that calls for extreme prudence, and it depends largely on the geological changes after the earthquake," said Mu Hong, vice minister in charge of of the National Development and Reform Commission.
