A pregnant panda has been sent to Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park in northwest China to give birth, after an-hour flight from her home in the quake-hit Sichuan Province.
Park workers and Air China staff received the panda Thursday afternoon, reports Xi'an Evening News.
Xi'an Xianyang International Airport dispatched a vehicle to carry the 185-kilogram mother-to-be, which was put into an ice-cooled cage, prepared by the park to keep the panda immune from the scorching weather.
