Nineteen African rhinoceroses have acclimated to their new home
at the "Window of Africa" theme park in Sanya, Hainan Province.
The animals imported from Africa earlier this year have
adapted well to the climate and environment. They include two
adults over seven years old and 17 baby rhinoceri under three years
old.
The heaviest of the mega herbivores is more than 1,800 kg and
the youngest is 900 kg. They are between 2.1-2.8 meters long and
1.1-1.5 meters tall.
It is the first time Sanya has imported rhinoceroses from
Africa.
