Myanmar to launch amateur florists website

The Myanmar Amateur Florists Association will launch its website this year to let the world know about the organization, the local weekly Voice News reported Sunday.
Not only the activities of the association but also its photo news will be included in the website, the association was quoted as saying.
The Myanmar Amateur Florists Association, which has about 1, 500 members, was formed in 1993.
Meanwhile, Myanmar's third orchid show is to be held by the Myanmar Hotelier Association next April for three days at Taunggyi hotel in Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State in northern Myanmar.
The holding of the orchid show is to boost tourism development of the country, the sources said.
Myanmar has been launching flower shows almost every year aimed at promoting tourism industry and preserving rare flower species.
Myanmar last participated the World Orchid Conference in Malaysia in 2002 which was held every three years.
