Nepal is going to host an international conference on climate change on Dec. 12-14 in the capital Kathmandu.
According to THT Online report, over 400 delegates from 40 countries will take part in the conference that is jointly being organized by the Central Department of Botany of Tribhuvan University, Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
The conference is being organized to mark the International Biodiversity Year 2010.
European Union, World Wildlife Fund, International Center for Integrated Mountain Development, Norwegian Research Council, University Grant Commission and Norway's University of Bergen are supporting the conference.
"Save the Himalayan Biodiversity for Future Generations" will be the theme of the conference.
The conclave will focus on the climate change, and sustainable use of the natural resources in the Himalayan regions among other environment related issues.
