Harbor seals trapped by ice in E. China

Harbor seals wait for food in ice water at a bay in a scenic area of Yantai, east China's Shandong Province, Jan. 7, 2011. As local temperature falls to minus 7 degrees centigrade, harbor seals at the scenic area were trapped by the ice on the surface of the sea water. Staff members have taken efforts in order to help the harbor seals get through the cold winter. The harbor seal is one of Chinese highly protected species.
