Hongkong Post Tuesday announced that a set of four special stamps on the theme of "Biodiversity" will be released on July 15.

Inspired by the amazing variety of local flora and fauna, Hongkong Post presents a set of four special stamps featuring endemic species including the only freshwater fish named after the territory -- the Hong Kong paradise fish, the smallest frog species found in Hong Kong -- Romer's tree frog.

The other ones are Sinopora hongkongensis, a plant first discovered in Tai Mo Shan, the New Territories which is new to science, and Fukienogomphus choifongae, a dragonfly first discovered in Wu Kau Tang, the New Territories which is also new to science.

Official first day covers will be offered for sale at all post offices from June 30, while a set of four postcards featuring the endemic species will be available at all philatelic offices.
