The Hungary Pavilion is decorated with more than 800 wood rods, not only reflecting light, but also rising and falling with changing music rhythms to bring visitors both audio and visual impacts in an artificial "forest," in the World Expo in Shanghai, east China, on May 1, 2010. Wicker weaving is a tradition in both Spain and China and the pavilion is like a bridge connecting the two nations. The low-carbon concept prevails in the Shanghai World Expo. Facade design of pavilions in the World Expo Park presents characteristic low-carbon details in accordence with materials, functions and cultural backgrounds. Advanced scientific technology achievements, especially the recognition and efforts to realize the very issue of environmental protection, are utilized for the low-carbon facade designs. [Xinhua] |
