Rains in Colombia have caused the deaths of six people and damaged more than 1,767 houses, the Colombian Interior and Justice Ministry said Friday.
The ministry said the winter season affected 63 municipalities in 20 of Colombia's 32 departments.
Risk management director Luz Amanda Pulido said that most of the emergencies were registered in Tolima for flooding, landslides and strong winds.
"We have made a call to the mayors, governors and coordinators of the Regional and Local Committees for them to activate their eventuality and emergency plans," Pulido said.
