Zou You, the creator of YOU'Z Clothing, wins Asahi kaisei China Fashion Designer Creative Award at 2008 China Fashion Week and releases his "Bemberg" collection on March 28.

Masaki Sakamoto, president of Asahi Kasei Fibers Corporation, sings high of Zou's design.

"Zou You is one of the top fashion designers in China. As an associate professor at Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology, he is very well versed in fabrics. He can play a leading role in Chinese designing industry. I have high expectations of his 'Bemberg' collection."

Believing the best design is the simplest, the designer makes good use of natural fabrics, which is manifested in the 'Bemberg' collection, giving out a sense of comfort and a touch of nature.

The award sponsored by Asahi kaisei is to promote creativity in the fashion industry and cultivate talented designers in China.

Wang Qing, president of China Fashion Designers Association, thinks creativity is essential to the future development of Chinese fashion industry.

"China's fashion industry is in a transforming phase. Two breakthroughs need to be achieved. The first breakthrough should be made in its marketing pattern. The second breakthrough should be updating our creativity in the industry. The award serves as a good impetus to encourage innovation and independence."

Zou You and another female winner Liu Wei will visit Japan later as part of the award package.
