Tan Weiwei, the runner-up in the 2006 Super Girl singing competition, will hold her first concert in Beijing at the Exhibition Center on April 27.
At a promotional press conference on Saturday in downtown Beijing, Tan said she would perform a mix of fast and slow songs, classic jazz and songs from her new album, according to a report on Phoenix Television Corp.'s website www.ifeng.com. On the cover of the concert playbill, Tan is decked out from head to shoulders in beautiful butterflies.
The most inspiring part of the concert will be Tan's performance of musical "butterflies", "Wei-lai-zu-he" and "Jinsha."
Renowned music producers Michael Tu, also known as Tu Huiyuan, and Yuan Weiren will oversee the concert production. They will also play the piano and guitar at the concert.
After the press conference, Tan autographed some tickets for her fans as well as the CD cover of her new album "Er-Jie," which means "aural perspective." About 1,000 CDs were sold at the press conference within an hour.
The concert tickets range from 180 yuan to 1,680 yuan.
