Fans who will attend Celine Dion's upcoming Shanghai and Beijing concerts can expect to see the star shine on the stage, literally.

The Canadian musical icon has an affinity for jewels from top Chinese brand Chow Tai Fook, and has been sponsored to wear some of its most luxurious treasures for her Chinese concerts, China News Service reported on Wednesday.

The news agency also published a photo showing Dion and two senior managers of Chow Tai Fook posing with two jewel sets she is going to wear. The report says the ornaments are from Chow Tai Fook's Fine Jewelry line, with a combined value of more than 10 million yuan (US$1.4 million).

Along with the two sets, Dion will become one of a few celebrities to wear a gem-embedded gold ornament designed for Chow Tai Fook by Oscar-winning art director and designer Timmy Yip.

Chow Tai Fook also presented Dion with ornaments specially designed for her, says another report on news Web site 163.com.

Celine Dion is currently touring the world promoting her latest album "Taking Chances." She played in Macao on March 15, and will sing in Shanghai on April 11 and in Beijing on April 13.
