An impromptu voice-over by Taiwan pop-rock band Mayday for the "Halo 3"
video game was so impressive, a senior Microsoft officer promised
on the spot to invite the band to voice the next Xbox game.

Mayday on Sunday appeared at an activity in Taipei as the local
endorser for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console, promoting the September
25 launch of "Halo 3," the sequel of the best-selling Xbox game,
"Halo 2."
At the event, five band members performed a song they specially
wrote for Xbox 360, and then translated some lines from "Halo 3"
into local Minnan dialect. Their performance wowed not only fans
but also Zhou Wenying, a senior manager from Microsoft.
She called Mayday "the best endorsers," and hoped the band could
voice the next Xbox game.
"Halo 3" is slated to hit shelves worldwide on September 25. Its
Chinese version encompasses the work of a team of 36 professional
dubbers.
