Ten movies will be sent to the upcoming Hollywood Chinese
American Film Festival, said the State Administration of Radio,
Film, and Television (SARFT) in Beijing on Wednesday.
The movies, including My Dream, The Knot,
Tokyo Trial, and The Longest Night in Shanghai,
are all recent motion pictures released in China, SARFT said in a
press release.
My Dream, a documentary on disabled dancers of the
China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe, was released at
Cannes in May this year, winning favorable response.
The third Hollywood Chinese American Film Festival is scheduled
to open on November 1, jointly hosted by EDI Media Inc., Ruddy
Morgan Organization, Shenhart Entertainment, and Sun Media
Investment Group of Companies, the press release said.
The first festival was held in September 2005 in Los Angeles,
the United States, aiming to promote exchanges between film makers
of the two countries and introduce more Chinese movies to US
audiences.
