Internationally acclaimed Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi will likely collaborate with heartthrob Takeshi Kaneshiro in a romance movie next year.

 

Han Sanping, chief of the China Film Group Corporation, told the Beijing Morning Post about the new project. Hong Kong director Peter Chan will direct the film this time, which is adopted from Ha Jin's award-winning novel "Waiting".

 

"Waiting", a compassionate tale of love and longing, tells a man and a woman who waited for each other for nearly 18 years for their love.

 

Filming will start earlier next year, according to Peter Chan.

 

It will be the second collaboration between Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro since "House of Flying Daggers".
