Hong Kong veteran singer Jacky Cheung spent his 46th birthday
Sunday on the stage of his solo concert in Taipei Arena.
The pop star opened the concert with four fast songs, using
his bright falsetto and hot dances to heat up the audience.
Not having staged any concert in Taiwan for about five years,
the singer performed more than 30 songs.
Jacky Cheung has a great box-office appeal in Taiwan. At the end
of 2005, his musical Snow Wolf Lake was launched in the
same place as the first large show the then-newly-completed arena
received. The 30, 000 tickets were sold out in 6 hours, setting a
record which unbroken until now. However, the performance was
interrupted, since Jacky Cheung lost his voice halfway on stage due
to a heavy cold.
