Singer/actor Lin Yilun on Friday became the first Chinese artist to ring the NASDAQ Stock Market closing bell in New York.

Lin Yilun took the honor on behalf of the four-person cast of a Chinese version of off-Broadway's long-running hit "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."

The crew was invited to preside over the ceremony in recognition of their highly successful month-long performance in New York.

Previously, famous people including world number one tennis player Roger Federer and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani have rung the opening or closing bell for NASDAQ.
