The twin koalas, born in Xiangjiang Safari Park in Guangzhou,
capital of Guangdong, made their first public appearance on April

Records show there have only been one pair of twin koalas in
history before. They were born in an Australian college laboratory
in 1960. The new-born twins are the only ones naturally-born, and
the only pair existing today.
It is reported that Hong Kong pop star duet Twins are contacting
the park, and that they are eager to pay the living expenses of the

Besides the Twins Festival, an exhibition on animal twins will
also be held in the park. Rare animal twins including pandas, white
