High-profile Chinese director Zhang Yimou will give a speech for the first time at this year's Boao Forum for Asia.

According to hinews.cn, the celebrated director will talk about how Asia's creative industry can join the global competition.

Long Yongtu, secretary-general of the Boao Forum for Asia, announced on Wednesday that this year's forum would take place April 21 and 22 in Boao, Hainan Province. The topic is said to be how Asia promotes global growth.
