Legendary young Russian pop star Vitas arrived in Beijing on Thursday to promote his upcoming concert tours in China and officially signed as a musician to China International Culture & Arts Company.
The handsome 26-year-old tenor has a boy-like voice whose range spans five octaves. He was the youngest singer to hold a solo concert at the Kremlin in Moscow.
The young tenor has a mysterious habit: he has never received any interviews from media. He has also remained silent this time in Beijing. His publicist answered all his questions for him.
He has been so mysterious that even few know his real name, Vitalii Vladasovich Grachyov.
Vitas will release a compilation of his classic songs and a DVD version of "Mother's Song" for the first time in China later this month.
Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong are likely on the list of his concert tour cities starting in June. No details have been revealed.
The tenor staged an incredible performance for a Russian concert on a CCTV variety program last year.
Besides singing, the versatile tenor has also starred three movies and two stage dramas. He is also a fashion designer.
