The winner of the Best Documentary Program (30 minutes or less)
at the 11th Asian Television Awards was a production by Shanghai
Media Group's Documentary Channel My
Treasures.
This year's Asian TV Awards, honoring the best in broadcast
programming and production in the region, was held here on Thursday
night.
The number of entries was 1,331 which came from 15 countries and
regions. From these 193 were short-listed and in contention for 33
awards. Chinese mainland productions received a winner, two seconds
and two highly commended awards.
Sichuan Television's Return to the Forest and China
Central Television CCTV8's Lotus Lantern were both
runners-up in the Best Natural History or Wildlife Program and the
Best Drama Series respectively.
Shanghai Media Group CBN TV's Affinity or Ability: Key to
the Transformation of Chinese Private Owned Enterprises was a
highly commended in the Best Talk Show.
Jiangsu Hongzhe TV HZTV-2's Moving Mountains-Haircut
was a highly commended in the Best Social Awareness Program
category.
Taiwan Eastern Television's (EETV) Return of Shenzhou
VI won the award for Best Live Broadcast Program.
Singapore was in the lead in terms of the number of nominations
with 57 short-listed productions, followed by India with 20
nominations and Japan with 15.
