Though the weather in Nanjing is very cold these days, the
emergence of "neutrally dressed" men and women surely has brought
some warmth to the city.
This winter, many women in Nanjing have stowed away their
beautiful skirts and colorful scarves in their wardrobes, and put
on suits instead. They want to show their faith in the equality of
men and women by these clothes. In fact, they don't only dress like
men, but also have proved that they are no inferior to men in every
aspect.
Many men in Nanjing put on neutral-style clothes, too. To them,
being "neutral" is of course different from being "sissy". They are
very gentlemen-like and polite. While they are deft-handed when
doing housework, they are no less manly when going in for sports.
Their confidence comes from their excellence.
The pursuit for "neutrality" actually reflects the new tide of
equality between the two sexes, which is an advancement of the
society.
