The island country Norway in northern Europe has become the latest Nordic country to sign an agreement with China to become a travel destination for Chinese tourists.
This brings the total of Chinese tourist destinations in northern Europe to five including Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
However it will take months for China and Norway to finalize the travel approval.
In addition, travel agencies in Guangzhou have begun making preparations for a northern Europe tour which reportedly will cost more than 20 thousand yuan or US$2.4 thousand.
Recently 22 European Union member countries reached similar agreements and were approved as travel destinations for Chinese tourists.
