From January to April of this year, more than 4 million Chinese mainland tourists visited Hong Kong, an increase of 50 percent compared to the same period last year.
During the same period, 2.3 million people from the Chinese mainland traveled to Macao, an increase of 67 percent on the first four months of last year.
Vice Director of the National Tourism Administration, Sun Gang, announced the figures at the "Pan-Pearl River Delta Region Forum "in Hong Kong.
