Speed Limit in 4th Capital's Ring Road Down to 80 Kmph

The maximum speed limit in Beijing's fourth ring road has been lowered from 100 kilometers per hour to 80.

That is the same maximum speed limit now posted at the second and third ring roads.

Meanwhile the minimum speed in the fourth ring road is set at 50 kilometers per hour.

The original speed limit signs along the road have reportedly been removed and the new ones are posted every other two kilometers.

Last year, 56 people were killed in traffic accidents on the fourth ring road, and many of those fatalities were due to speeding motorists.
