Beijing will establish an Olympic traffic control center by 2006 in preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The center, located in Beijing's Xicheng District, will not only serve the 2008 Olympics but also function as the city's traffic management center after the event.
Construction will begin later this year and the center will provide real-time information on traffic using video links and satellite orientation systems.
