Air Macao is due to add 36 more flights linking China's mainland and Taiwan from Wednesday to March 22, as the amount of out-and-home passengers across Taiwan Strait is expected to see a leap in mid March, said an executive from Air Macao.
Gong Xiaozhuang, manager of Air Macao Public Relations, said the move is aimed at reinforcing Air Macao's flight frequency between Shenzhen and Macao, Macao and Taipei, as well as Shanghai and Macao.
On March 19, there will be 18 flights in a single day between Macao and Taiwan, including 15 flights between Macao and Taipei and three between Macao and Kaohsiung.
In order to improve service for Taiwan passengers, Air Macao will establish service counters at the airports in Macao, Taipei and Kaohsiung. Meanwhile, the counter service will be reinforced by a doubled number of staff at the Macao International Airport.
