No SARS Case Reported Since June in HK

There was no Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) case report in Hong Kong over the past 24 hours up to 4:00 p.m. Monday, according to an updated report from the Hong Kong Health Authority.

A spokesman for the Department of Health of Hong Kong government said Monday that precautionary measures have been stepped up at all the immigration control points in light of a suspected SARS patient in Hong Kong's neighboring Guangdong province.

The spokesman noted that even though Hong Kong has been free from SARS since early June, members of the public are reminded to remain vigilant and observe good personal hygiene.
