Activities to Herald Impending New Year

When the New Year and the Spring Festival is drawing near, activities are getting colorful in Shenyang, appreciating flowers, strolling around fairs, having night skiing on Qi Pan Shan, people are joyously celebrating the New Year.

Showing affection and happiness, flowers are so common in our daily lives. In recent days, at flower fairs in Shenyang, crowds of people are happily trading flowers. This year, the operation mode of the New Year's Flower Fair of Guangdong was introduced in Shenyang, adding to the festive atmosphere of the city. The handling volume of fresh flowers reaches 500,000 per day, and orders keep coming in like snowflakes.

Skiiing is the traditional winter sports game in the north. This year, Shenyang Qi Pan Shan Snow and Ice Festival launches night skiing item. When night falls, skiing in the bright light is an unforgettable experience and is worth a try.

Recently, strolling the food fair held in Liaoning Exhibition Hall is also interesting. Varied traditional local delicacies from around the nation attract numerous people. And also the folk customs and folk arts show makes you forget to return. Colorful dough figurines, traditional paper-cut and New Year pictures are inviting. Besides, typical northeastern-style stilts, yangge dance and lantern show, riddle guessing fully show the happiness of the festivals.
