Shanghai has announced regulations on firecrackers during the upcoming Spring Festival, with the time and region restrictions similar to that of last year.

This year, the city maintains strict regulations, only allowing fireworks in certain areas and at certain times.

To ensure people's safety, the government also warns citizens not to buy illegal fireworks, which are mostly fake or substandard.

Meanwhile, Shanghai prohibits fireworks at some public places, like government offices, military facilities and hospitals.
