Yang Liwei, China's first astronaut, is expected to show up at the Fifth Airshow China, the organizing committee announced Monday.

The show will be held from November 1 to 7, 2004, in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.

Giant aviation and space companies and institutions like Boeing, European Aeronautic, Defense and Space Company, and aircraft companies from Israel, Brazil and Russia will participate in the fair, according to the organizing committee.

Aviation and space industry associations and exhibition organizers from countries including Britain, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and the United States have indicated their intention to participate in the show.

During the show, the return capsule in which Yang was brought back to earth will be displayed, according to the organizing committee.

The first four days of the show will be devoted to business, and the other three days will be set aside for the public.
