China's largest city, Shanghai, will stage a series of splendid entertainment shows to attract tourists from across China in the upcoming week-long National Holiday. The wide variety of entertainment programs range from exotic sculpture shows to park tours introducing ancient Chinese culture.

A unique show of light-lit sculptures will go on display in Shanghai on Tuesday(Sept 30th), the eve of China's National Day. The Italian Baroque show is made up of 700,000 bulbs in 13 sets. They are arranged in the shapes of domes, arcades, and other typical Roman-style structures to form a contemporary demonstration of the mysteriousness and elegance of Baroque Art.

The renowned Longhua Pagoda Park opened to the public on Friday for the first time in its 2000-year history. The park owner has renovated the Buddhist sculptures and inscriptions of old Chinese poems. A blank white wall has also been erected for visitors to write down their festive wishes.

In other parts of Shanghai, lanterns and artificial cascades are displayed in and around the city's symbolic buildings for the National Day celebration.
