The International Cooperation for Tourism Development Under a New Paradigm Conference, jointly sponsored by Boao Forum for Asia and the World Tourism Organization, opened Monday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
The aim of the two-day conference is to restore consumer confidence in Asian tourism and enhance Asian and global cooperation in the sector in a bid to revive the SARS-hit tourism industry.
Among the over 1,000 participants attending the conference are high level tourism officials, tourism professionals, experts and scholars from nearly 30 countries and regions.
