An ATR72 airplane landed at the Xishuangbanna airport at 4 p.m. Monday, signaling a successful maiden flight linking LuangPrabang province and Vientiane of Laos with Jinghong of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
This is the second international air route for the Xishuangbanna airport after its first Bangkok-Chiang Mai-Jinghong flight. The Vientiane-LuangPrabang-Jinghong flight has succeeded in linking Yunnan with Laos.
It is also the eighth international flight from Laos, and will make the journey twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.
