The advertising arts will cast their magic spell over Shanghai audiences again. The winners' works from the London International Advertising Awards (LIAA) are visiting the city as part of a world tour.
Many insiders believe every winner's work is like a condensed version of an intriguing film.
In the short span of only 50 seconds, advertising directors try to unfold a touching story with photographic techniques, sound effects and other creative work in full swing.
No wonder the influence of advertising has such impact on people's everyday life. People no longer hate to watch advertising, instead, they are paying to appreciate the art works, the organizers claim.
Wang Wei, spokeswoman of the Majestic Theatre, said: "This time a total of 200 minutes of advertising reels will be screened."
She added that one work worth mentioning is the screening of the latest winning work from the LIAA, selected on November 15, last year.
These works, 136 in number, were winnowed out of 18,580 entries.
The organizers have also ensured that expert translations of all the English dialogue into Chinese is carefully reproduced as subtitles.
"We hope the audience can better understand these works, and be gripped by incessant wonders during the 200 minutes," said Wang Wei.
