Xmas Fun in Beijing Aquarium
Beijing Aquarium, the largest one in Beijing, will mark Christmas Eve with an evening party.

With the assistance of a snow-making machine, the facility's square will be transformed into a snow world with Christmas trees and wooden houses.

Visitors can try their hands at snow sculpture or simply making snowman. Sledging will also be available for visitors. The festive atmosphere is rounded off with a campfire party in the square.

Meanwhile inside the aquarium, a Christmas party with lucky draws will be held.

Several 4-star hotels will offer a western-style buffet for visitors.

An animal show is a further attraction.

The Aquarium is open every day from 9 am.

All galleries are fully accessible by wheelchairs which are available free of charge.

Tickets: 100 yuan (US$12) for adults; 50 yuan (US$6) for children.

Location: B18

(Beijing Weekend December 16, 2002)
